My country's opinion about the U.S. in general.

On Halloween in 1992, Japanese exchange student was shot by American guy at Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

He would go to a Halloween party in his friends house. He costumed and visited a wrong house.
The American guy who lived in the house pointed his gun at him and shouted, "Freeze!"
The student misunderstood as "Please" and approached him.
Then, he was shot and died.

The accident was spread as fear of gun society in the U.S. in Japan.

In Japan, we have a constitution that have not to have any weapons especially gun.
If someone wants to prepare for prevention of crime in Japan, he or she will buy some burglar alarm and some lump which turns on after someone close it.

But American will prepare some weapons.
Although my host family don't have a gun, they have a stun gun.
When I saw the light of stun gun, I realized it has been very common to arm by some weapons for them.

Many Japanese believe the ethical doctrine that human nature is fundamentally good and have a policy of renunciation of war.
But Japanese are only 125 million. There are 6.8 billion people in this world.
Our policy is great but maybe little idealistic theory.
Because for 310 million people in the U.S. think that armament for defend is natural.

To be against for stranger is natural for every animal.
Although human being is a kind of animal, we can consider everything.
We can consider different ways for guard ourselves.

Some day, will an idealistic theory be natural...?
